Delhi Rape case (Social media)
Delhi News: A night of horror unfolded in Delhi’s Nehru Vihar on Sunday. An innocent 9-year-old girl, who had just gone to give ice to her relative, was found dead in a blood-soaked suitcase in a closed room a few hours later. This scene was not like a horror story; it was reality - the most horrific night of a family.
When the daughter did not return till late at night, the father knocked on every door. Eventually, someone mentioned seeing her enter a nearby house. The house was found closed. The father got suspicious, and he broke the door. What he saw would haunt him for the rest of his life - his daughter was in the suitcase, with injuries on her face and a body covered in blood.
As soon as the information about the body was found, the police and forensic team reached the spot. In the initial investigation, doctors have suspected serious injuries to the face and sexual abuse. The police have registered a case under the POCSO Act and murder sections and started searching for the accused. The culprit is still absconding.
As soon as the news of the incident spread, massive protests started in Nehru Vihar. Hundreds of people came out on the streets, shutters of shops were closed, and the whole area echoed with slogans of 'Insaaf Chahiye' (We need Justice.) Allegations of police inaction and insensitivity sparked unrest, bringing traffic to a standstill and heightening tension in the area.
The girl's mother kept saying the same thing over and over again: "I want my daughter!" Meanwhile, the broken but courageous father said, "Our daughter has died; now we want the culprit to be hanged. We won't stop until we get justice."
